This week’s episode features Barbara Majeski, survivor of a nasty divorce and stage 3 colon cancer, and currently on-air guest contributor for Lifestyle & Entertainment at NBC’s TODAY show. Going through a particularly difficult divorce right when Barbara was diagnosed with cancer would have broken a lesser woman. However, Barbara decided that the only way out of this is through it and she survived both and is now thriving. Nowadays, Barbara acts as the voice of women who are experiencing similar trials and acts as the beacon of inspiration to say that victimhood is not the answer, empowerment is. She also speaks on the societal bias against stay-at-home moms and how this stigma could not be any further from the truth. Motherhood teaches that you can do anything and that this should even be the highlight in every mother's resume.
