The Fearless Mindset

Episode 120 - STORIES FROM THE FRONT: Intelligence-Led Security and a Friendship with Prince Harry with Dean Stott (Part 1)

Episode Summary

A UNIQUE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN A SOLDIER AND A PRINCE This episode of the Fearless Mindset Podcast is the first part of our conversation with Dean Stott, a tier-one special forces soldier, adventurer, world-record breaker, and author of Relentless. He shares how intelligence-led security does not rely on weapons at all and what western security companies can learn from this. He also talks about his genuine friendship with Prince Harry and how he was witness to his authentic desire to serve and his time as an Apache pilot in Afghanistan. GOLDEN NUGGETS Intelligence-led security does not rely on concealed-carry weapons - Dean: "When you start entering the world of security or you're doing a project or plan, you need to have a plan, like a primary plan. a secondary plan, and a tertiary plan. But having weapons shouldn't be in that plan at all." Meeting Harry as a soldier and not as a prince - Dean: "I always look back to our time in the military and that was probably where [Prince Harry] was at his happiest and the fact that he was away from the media. He could be Second Lieutenant Wales... and if he made a mistake in the military, as everyone makes in the military, it wasn't all over the world's press."
